This lade had a college education but had stayed home the past few years with the children while her husband worked. When he left, she was faced with no job, no money and high rent payment. She had no alternative but to move in with family until she could find employment and an affordable home. While living with family, she found employment at a reputable doctor's office making a decent salary. Although making a living, she was unable to afford to $900 rent and deposit on an apartment, plus the $350 past due utility bill her husband had left. The apartment manager referred her to Tazwood to see if we would be albe to help her in any way. In talking with TCS staff, she was able to get assistance with her first month rent from CSBG funds and her past due utility bill through LIHEAP. She was also given an application for Kid Care to see if she may be able to get assistance with medical for the children, due to the fact that her husband no longer carried insurance on the children.
