As time grew near for her to be released from the center, she began looking for housing. She wanted to stay in the area to attend classes and programs available to her on an outpatient basis. She had been a patient at the center on two other occasions, but failed to complete treatment programs and was back to her old addictions. This time she was determined to kick the habits. Ann came to MCS for assistance with her first month's rent and deposit. One of the FCD Speialists interviewed her and felt she would be a good condidate for the FCD Program. Ann was excited about enrolling in the program and very appreciative for the assistance she would be receiving. With the assistance of MCS, Ann located housing and was anxious to have her 9-year-old son, who had been living with her parents, with her again. Ann was working part time, but was promised full time employment when she was released from the center. The agency helped Ann with her first month's rent and deposit, groceries, and gas for her car to help with her moving. Ann now has a healthy new son, has her 9-year old with her, and is working full time. She continues to attend programs at the center and is now drug and alcohol free. She is a success with the FCD Program. Ann is grateful for all the assistance through MCS and states MCS played a big part in the beginning of her new life.
